About the tournament

The Haarlem Basketball Week was an international Christmas tournament for clubs and national teams, played between 1982 and 2008. Until 1997 it was held in Haarlem, at the Extran Sporthal. In 1998, 1999 and 2000 it was called the Holland Basketball Week and was played at Ahoy Rotterdam.

Besides the Dutch national team, Dutch clubs took part, along with foreign clubs, national teams and American college and school teams, such as North Carolina in 1996 and Oak Hill Academy in 1997.
